Concord Music Group is pleased to announce that it has entered into a new multi-year, worldwide strategic partnership with Tom Whalley and his Loma Vista Recordings label. Under the terms of the agreement, Concord will provide funding for new talent relationships and artist development, as well as comprehensive label services for Loma Vista’s remarkable current and future artist roster.

Formed in 2012 by Tom Whalley’s Seven Four Ent. in partnership with Republic Records, Loma Vista Recordings has released albums by prestigious artists including St. Vincent, Little Dragon, Rhye, Birds of Tokyo, Cut Copy, Ghost BC, Manchester Orchestra, Soundgarden, Papa, and the GRAMMY™-nominated Django Unchained Soundtrack. Spoon, the latest addition to the Loma Vista Recordings family, will release their new album, They Want My Soul on August 5th, 2014

Best known for his extensive A&R and artist development experience and proven track record of discovering hit artists, Tom Whalley began his career in the Warner Bros. Records mailroom before working his way into the label's A&R department. At Warner Bros., Whalley had early success with '80's superstars Modern English and The Cure. He later joined Capitol Records as Head of A&R, where he worked with many of the label's most important acts including Bonnie Raitt, Poison, Crowded House, the Beastie Boys, and MC Hammer. After Capitol, Mr. Whalley helped launch Interscope Records, eventually serving as President of the label.
