IMPERIAL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ZGlobal Engineering and Energy Solutions (ZGlobal Inc.) announced today that it will begin providing the Southwest Reserve Sharing Group (SRSG) services in support of SRSG’s NERC reliability requirements. SRSG’s role is to provide a means by which members optimize resources in order to satisfy operating reserve reliability requirements. ZGlobal has a full staff of Engineers and Operators, with a 24X7 operation center located in the city of Imperial, California as well as a backup facility in Folsom, California. The firm has a deep-bench of knowledge and experience concerning electric grid Operation and Planning and is very well positioned to assist SRSG in these efforts. SRSG covers the Southwest United States and includes utilities in Arizona, California, Nebraska, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and El Paso Electric in Texas.
Under the new agreement, ZGlobal will provide NERC reliability services to all fifteen members. “We are enthusiastic that fifteen utilities and members have entrusted ZGlobal to provide these critical services,” said ZGlobal President and Founder, Ziad Alaywan.
Ken Parker, the Chairman of the SRSG announced that the Executive Committee unanimously approved the Operating Committee’s recommendation to select ZGlobal to provide various Reserve Sharing Group services for the SRSG. “We have selected ZGlobal to perform these services through a competitive solicitation process,” said Chairman Ken Parker.
