TAINAN, Taiwan--()--Graduating students from the Department of Architecture at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), southern Taiwan, will showcase their final year work at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, Taipei, June 14-22.

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and National University of Singapore (NUS) Architecture students are also invited by NCKU to co-exhibit their work, welcoming architecture professionals, alumni and members of the public to share ideas about future architecture in Asia.

The exhibition, titled “Hello World,” will showcase 31 works designed by NCKU students, 10 from HKU, and 10 from NUS.

A positive aspect of the exhibition was the efforts to cooperate with the teaching staff and students from HKU and NUS, allowing the students from the three schools to share their ideas and discuss up and coming architects in Asia, according to Professor Kwang-Tyng Wu who is the advisor of NCKU students.

The designs highlight the innovative and unique potential for new building types and question the future of the built environment, Prof. Wu said of the exhibit that portrays ideal architecture from the students’ creation.

Among the exhibits are projects for eco-friendly home-built cottage, youth housing in Taipei City, riverbank sustainable residential houses in Kaohsiung, and even a forest city in Macau.
