AMELIA, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--American Modern Insurance Group has appointed Tammy Nelson as senior vice president and chief marketing officer. In this position, she will be responsible for the direction and management of the marketing and promotion of the organization's products and services.
Nelson most recently served as vice president of marketing and communications at Luxottica's insurance arm, EyeMed Vision Care in Mason, OH. Prior to EyeMed, she served in various executive marketing positions with Ameriprise Auto and Home Insurance in De Pere, WI, where she rose to senior vice president of client acquisition.

Nelson has a master of business administration degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree in advertising and economics from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire.
