Thompson Hine Adds Fourth New York Partner in Nine Months

Christopher Bordoni Joins Commercial & Public Finance Practice

NEW YORK--()--Thompson Hine LLP is pleased to announce that Christopher A. Bordoni, a transactional finance lawyer, has joined its New York office as a partner in the Commercial & Public Finance practice. He previously was a partner at Goodwin Procter LLP.

Bordoni’s practice focuses primarily on secured and unsecured mezzanine financing, acquisition financing, leveraged recapitalizations, and working capital financing. He has advised corporate borrowers, private equity sponsors, real estate investment funds, and mezzanine and other junior capital providers on a wide range of transactions. Bordoni has extensive experience in structuring and negotiating complex commercial syndicated and bilateral credit facilities, secured and unsecured mezzanine financings, and liquidity lines. He also counsels clients on complex intercreditor arrangements, forbearance arrangements and out-of-court restructurings.

“Adding Chris to our office increases the depth of our finance practice in New York and further enhances the firm’s national finance bench,” said Katherine D. Brandt, partner-in-charge of the firm’s New York office. “With the evolution of peer-to-peer banking, shadow banking and alternative financing services, the need for sophisticated finance counsel has intensified. Chris has these sophisticated skills, and that is one reason that we are so glad to have him join the firm and resident in the New York office. His substantial experience will greatly benefit our clients.”

“I’m impressed with Thompson Hine’s growing New York presence and its focus on innovation in service delivery. The cultural fit is perfect, as is the firm’s emphasis on integration,” said Bordoni. “In addition, my clients will benefit from the seasoned bench of the firm’s robust corporate, tax and restructuring practices.”

Bordoni is the fourth partner hired by the New York office in less than nine months. Others who have joined include Tammy P. Bieber, who focuses on shareholder litigation and securities enforcement; Maranda E. Fritz, who focuses on white-collar criminal litigation; and Michael W. Jahnke, who focuses on antitrust matters.
