HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Association Services, Inc. (ASI), an Associa company, recently hosted its first annual Hurricane Preparedness event in conjunction with Lincoln Hancock Restoration, LLC. The disaster planning seminar intended for community association board members was held on May 22 at the Sonesta Resort Hilton Head.
“We take storm season seriously here and we know the families who live in our neighborhoods always need to refresh themselves about what to do in an emergency,” says ASI President & CEO Wendy Murray. “This year we had generous sponsors, valuable information and a great turnout.”
Presenters included Hilton Head Emergency Management and the American Red Cross, whose experts went into detail about the steps to take before, during, and after a storm. Vendors included the resident notification company VOLO, landscape professionals from Valley Crest, McNair Attorneys, BB&T Carswell Insurance, and others.
“We hope disaster never strikes but are prepared and ready just in case,” says ASI Vice President and event organizer Carolyn Neely. “ASI is certainly an industry leader when it comes to hurricane preparedness and being a part of Associa provides us depth and resources with surrounding Associa offices and mutual aid plans.”
