Boston Estate Planning Council Presents Estate Planner of the Year Award to Melissa Langa

WAKEFIELD, Mass.--()--The Boston Estate Planning Council (BEPC), a multi-disciplinary community of planning professionals, last night held its Annual Gala where more than 500 attendees celebrated a successful year for the organization and honored Melissa Langa of Brookline, principal of the Boston law firm of Bove & Langa, as the 2014 Estate Planner of the Year.

The newly elected officers of the organization were also introduced to the membership, including: Deirdre Prescott as president; Timothy McBride as vice president; Daniel Flanagan as treasurer and Michael Orentlich as secretary. Current President Judith Saxe was acknowledged for her leadership during the past year.

The Estate Planner of the Year award recognized Melissa Langa for her significant contribution to the estate planning profession. In her practice, Melissa Langa, a past president of BEPC, guides individuals, families, businesses, and charitable entities in designing and implementing customized tax-efficient structures to meet their particular estate planning, business, and charitable goals. She is adjunct professor at Boston University School of Law's Graduate Tax Program, where she teaches estate planning. Her full biography is available on the BEPC website.

Gala attendees enjoyed a number of events throughout the evening, including a pre-event networking cocktail reception, the dinner featuring the Estate Planner of the Year Award ceremony, and a dessert reception – all opportunities for attendees to engage with colleagues and to make new connections among the guests.
