PIGEON FORGE, Tenn.--()--Dollywood’s Barbeque & Bluegrass festival (May 24 - June 8) welcomes an outstanding lineup of bluegrass music’s biggest names highlighted by The Time Jumpers featuring Vince Gill, Dawn Sears, Kenny Sears and Ranger Doug Green. Throw in the sauciest barbeque around and this two-week event is the perfect recipe for a fun summer kickoff!

“Folks know that I like to stay true to my bluegrass roots, and everybody sure knows that I love to eat, too,” Dolly Parton said. “My Barbeque & Bluegrass festival at Dollywood is especially close to my heart because it showcases the sweet harmonies of the finest bluegrass pickers and singers in the world alongside the most delicious barbeque you’re gonna find anywhere.”

The Time Jumpers, including Country Music Hall of Famer Gill, open the festival with shows on Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25. An impressive slate of bluegrass talent continues throughout the event with Riders in the Sky (May 26-27), The Boxcars (May 27-29), Marty Raybon (June 7-8), Hot Club of Cowtown (June 7-8), The Gibson Brothers (May 30- June 1), The Willis Clan (May 24- June 1) and many more.

The Time Jumpers bring an eclectic mix of personalities to the stage for a musical event Dollywood guests won’t soon forget. Eleven members make up this Western swing band which surely will impress audiences when they take to the stage at D.P.’s Celebrity Theater.

“Dollywood audiences are amazing,” said Green, one of The Time Jumpers’ co-founders and a current member of Riders in the Sky. “They love traditional music, appreciate it, support it and come to have fun. It’s a joy to play for them, especially knowing many have traveled long distances to enjoy Tennessee scenery, a first-class theme park and uniquely American music!”

Dawn Sears echoed Green’s thoughts about performing for Dollywood guests.

“I’ve been a very happy visitor to Dollywood,” she said, “but I’ve never performed there. I love the atmosphere and the people. I think the folks that come to see The Time Jumpers are going to be pleasantly surprised at what they hear. I always love to watch the faces in the audience about a minute after we start playing. I see looks of amazement and surprise from people who haven’t seen us before—an 11-piece band with three fiddles! The musicianship is about as good as it gets; each of us brings a different ‘spice’ to the group!”

When it comes to the talent on the stage, band member Jeff Taylor says The Time Jumpers cannot be beat.

“After more than 15 years with this group, I still can’t get over the amount of talent, experience and sheer joy I find amongst them,” said the accomplished accordionist and pianist. “I have learned more about this art of making music as a band from these folks than I could ever imagine. It is truly an honor to take the stage with such wonderful and talented people. I love them all!”

When Taylor is not on stage, however, he plans to take time to enjoy everything Dollywood has to offer.

“Dollywood is wonderfully-themed and beautifully-situated in the picturesque Great Smoky Mountains. The staff exudes true Southern hospitality throughout the park. I am really looking forward to bringing the timeless sounds of The Time Jumpers there—but I also can’t wait to enjoy this wonderful place for a couple of days!”

Dollywood’s award-winning food perfectly complements the sounds of bluegrass music’s finest pickers. The aroma of mouth-watering barbeque wafts through the air thanks to expertly-prepared pulled pork, smoked sausage, smoked chicken breasts and slabs of ribs. Bountiful barbeque entrees are accompanied by Southern favorites like baked beans, corn on the cob, collard greens and more. Guests also can find a number of sweet treats to put an exclamation point on their meal!

From bluegrass favorites and tangy barbeque to Dollywood’s award-winning rides and family-friendly atmosphere, there are memory-making moments for every member of the family during Barbeque & Bluegrass!
