Rdio and BandPage Partner to Power Artist Content on Rdio’s Global Music Service

BandPage Will Bring Content to Millions of Rdio Users, Helping Musicians Grow Their Fan Bases and Increase Revenues

SAN FRANCISCO--()--BandPage, the world’s leading musician platform, and Rdio (www.rdio.com), one of the largest streaming music services in the world, announced today that they will partner to integrate musicians’ content from BandPage into Rdio’s artist stations and artist profiles. This partnership will open up new opportunities for musicians to grow their fan bases and increase revenues while powering new and exciting features on Rdio’s music service.

The partnership will begin with BandPage powering musicians’ images on Rdio’s artist stations and catalog pages. As Rdio expands it's artist offerings, other content and items from the musicians’ BandPage Store will appear across artist profiles on Rdio’s web and mobile properties. This will enable fans to discover content in addition to music from their favorite musicians when they use Rdio.

“BandPage is always looking to create new ways for musicians to generate more revenue and grow their fan base,” said J Sider, founder and CEO of BandPage. “The incredible amount of fan engagement on music services like Rdio is the single greatest untapped commodity in the music business today. This partnership with Rdio will help musicians tap into that opportunity in a huge way.”

“Our partnership with BandPage creates the opportunity to give our listeners even more access to content from the artists they love, while also opening new doors for artists to engage with fans,” said Anthony Bay, CEO of Rdio. “We always strive to optimize the listening experience for our users and to create new opportunities for artists to connect with them. We look forward to the exciting opportunities that will come from this new relationship.”

With Rdio, music fans can access a massive catalog of over 25 million songs or start a custom Internet radio station based on a song, album, playlist or another person. BandPage has built a platform where more than 500,000 musicians can have their content and offers from their central BandPage Profile reach their fans wherever they are.
