CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Design Workshop, an international landscape architecture, planning, and urban design firm with eight offices and work spanning the globe, is pleased to announce the opening of a new office in Chicago.
The expansion aims to serve the firm’s exceptional clients in the Midwest region, as well as their international markets. The new office space is located at 224 S. Michigan Avenue and will be led by Office Director Jon Brooke.
Jon is a highly experienced Landscape Architect with more than 20 years of experience. Prior to joining Design Workshop Jon served as a Principal at Hoerr Schaudt Landscape Architects in Chicago while acting as an adjunct associate professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Educated in the UK, Jon was a lecturer and research assistant for three years at his alma mater, Leeds Metropolitan University before departing to New York where he served as the Design Director for Halsted Wells Associates. Jon is a member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), and the Society for College and University Planners (SCUP). Some of Jon’s portfolio projects have received awards including the SCUP Excellence in Landscape Architecture Merit Award, The American Institute of Architects Chicago Divine Detail Award, and the Illinois ASLA’s President’s Award.
