SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mode Media today announced it has named Steven Sottile Vice President of Sales/East. Sottile will report to Mode Media’s President and Chief Revenue Officer, Dan Lagani, and will be responsible for managing the company’s advertising clients in the east. Sottile was previously VP of Digital Media at Reader’s Digest where he led media sales and ad operations for the company’s digital brands.

At Reader’s Digest, Sottile was responsible for leading the sales efforts for the company’s digital brands, including Tasteofhome.com, Readersdigest.com, the Taste Network and the Haven Home Network. Under his leadership, digital revenues more than doubled and audience grew to more than 35M monthly visitors. Along with the successful launch of the Taste Network and the integration of the company’s Haven Home acquisition, Sottile and his team also built a successful programmatic and video businesses.
Prior to Reader’s Digest, Sottile led digital media sales at Billboard.com, the digital arm of the world’s leading music publication. Earlier in his career, as digital sales director for Condé Nast’s Fairchild division, Sottile oversaw the transformation WWD.COM into a major fashion and beauty advertising platform.
