NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Business communications firm Gibbs & Soell, Inc. has appointed Kate J. Threewitts as senior director, human resources, a newly created role that reports to President and CEO Luke Lambert. The position centralizes the responsibility for agency-wide activities concerning employee recruitment, professional development and staff retention at the rapidly growing firm. Already on track for its third consecutive year of record-setting revenue, Gibbs & Soell reports that its current employee base is at the highest level in company history.

In her new position, Threewitts will draw upon 16 years of professional experience in employee engagement, organizational policies and programs, compensation, and performance management. She was most recently senior director of human resources at American Heart Association in Morrisville, N.C., where she provided counsel to management leaders on HR matters, implemented and tracked measurement of performance initiatives, and provided daily support of employee relations. Previously, she was employed in HR management and specialist positions at All Kinds of Minds Institute, an organization that analyzes learning differences; Cardinal Health, a health care services provider; and Nortel, a telecommunications company. Threewitts earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations from North Carolina State University. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management.
