ANN ARBOR, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Truven Health AnalyticsTM was selected by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to provide technical assistance in support of the Testing Experience and Functional Tools (TEFT) Demonstrations in Community-Based Long Term Services and Supports (CB-LTSS) program.
Truven Health’s Community Living Systems group will assist CMS and participating state Medicaid programs to collect and use standardized assessment and beneficiary survey tools in the management and improvement of CB-LTSS programs. Truven Health will provide technical assistance to all nine demonstration states: Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota and New Hampshire. In addition, project staff will assist the states in demonstrating the use of personal health records for CB-LTSS.
The Truven Health TEFT contract is part of an ongoing CMS effort to test quality measurement tools and demonstrate health information technology. The Truven Health team will also participate with the demonstration states in the Office of the National Coordinator’s (ONC) effort to identify, evaluate and harmonize standards for electronic LTSS (e-LTSS) records as part of the Office’s Standards and Interoperability (S&I) Framework initiative.
“The ability to electronically access and exchange beneficiary health and functional information across LTSS providers and settings is blazing a new trail in population health,” said Brian Burwell, vice president and Director of the Community Living Systems group at Truven Health Analytics. “We are honored to be a part of this important work and look forward to the opportunity to help CMS achieve better, more affordable care for persons in need of long-term services and supports.”
