TAIPEI, Taiwan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Entries for the COMPUTEX d&i awards have hit a new peak to reflect the soaring interest from the design and innovation based ICT industry. The awards have annually expanded to become a key component of COMPUTEX TAIPEI and included star manufacturers like Qualcomm, Philips, SanDisk, HTC, Acer, ASUS and many other top brands.
The award winners to be announced on June 2nd at a special opening press conference for COMPUTEX TAIPEI which kicks off the following day.
This 7th year COMPUTEX TAIPEI d&i awards had 125 companies (up 21.8% from last year) signed up with 288 products applications (up 13.4% from last year). This is the third straight year the event has achieved double digit growth.

The panel is comprised of Mr. Olivier Molody from France, Ms. Sylvia Feichtinger from Austria, Mr. Jan Fellstrom and Mr. Simon Loasby from UK, and Mr. Manfred Wang and Terry Ko from Taiwan. Every judge shows decades of experience in the industrial design industry.
This massive endeavor is out to inspire fresh miracles and milestones in global ICT. And judging from the entries there’s a strong trend toward highly efficient mobiles and tablets, products with wireless functions, personal cloud devices and wearable technologies.
Winners of the awards are to be announced at a June 2nd press conference, with the Golden Award Winners being awarded the following day at the COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2014 Opening Ceremony.
All d&i award winning products will be displayed at NANGANG Exhibition Hall during COMPUTEX TAIPEI and later travel the world to showcase at major shows such as CES, MWC, CeBIT, IFA and GITEX.
