Yahoo Sports and STACK Media Sign Content, Sales and Promotional Deal

STACK’s performance-oriented sports video and other content now syndicated to Yahoo Sports and other relevant Yahoo properties. The two companies will also combine their traffic and jointly approach the advertising marketplace to provide solutions and sponsorship opportunities

NEW YORK--()--STACK Media, Inc., the nations leading multi-platform media and content company serving athletes, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Yahoo Sports. The content, sales and promotional agreement calls for STACK to license its unique performance-oriented videos and articles featuring top professional athletes and coaches to Yahoo Sports and other relevant Yahoo properties. The deal also sets up a unified approach to the advertising marketplace and an aggregation of online traffic, which will further strengthen Yahoo Sports’ position, a leader in online sports, while allowing STACK’s content to reach a larger audience. Finally, the agreement calls for various cross promotions and integrations at STACK properties for Yahoo Sports’ fantasy products and the Yahoo Sports app.

The deal between STACK and Yahoo Sports will offer advertisers unmatched scale and reach to a target demographic of young, active consumers. As part of the agreement, STACK will retain editorial control of its digital properties, but STACK and Yahoo Sports will collaborate to develop new original video content and branded content as part of their joint effort to better serve the advertising community.

Nick Palazzo, STACK Media Co-Founder and CEO, said, “This deal will allow us to reach athletes with our content on a massive scale. It is also another step in accomplishing our goal of educating and inspiring an entire generation of athletes. By aligning with Yahoo Sports, we will reach millions of new users who are interested in our differentiated sports content, enabling us to bring more value to our endemic advertising partners and creating more opportunities for us to work with a broader set of advertising partners via Yahoo’s distinguished sales organization. We are very excited to unite with the largest digital sports property in the United States and bring STACK to the masses.”
