Opus Bank Announces Expansion of Its Pacific Northwest Commercial Business Banking Team

- Paul B. Scheer joins Opus Bank as Director, Commercial Business Banking -

IRVINE, Calif.--()--Opus Bank (“Opus”) (Nasdaq: OPB) announced today that Paul B. Scheer has joined Opus Bank as Director, Client Manager – Commercial Business Banking - Pacific Northwest Region. Mr. Scheer, a 17-year banking veteran, is focused on expanding Opus’ commercial business client base in the Seattle, Tacoma, and South Puget Sound region.

Mr. Scheer joins Opus most recently from Union Bank where he served as Business Client Advisor in the Tacoma/ Pierce County region. From 2007 to 2012, Mr. Scheer served as Commercial Client Manger for Bank of America. Earlier in his career, Mr. Scheer served in similar positions with Key Bank and U. S. Bank based in the South Puget Sound region of Washington. Mr. Scheer holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Seattle University.
