KANSAS CITY, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Kansas City Southern Railway Company (KCSR) has appointed Wayne Godlewski vice president information technology. Mr. Godlewski is based in Kansas City, Mo. and reports to senior vice president and chief information officer Michael Naatz.
“Over the coming months, Wayne will assume responsibilities to direct, plan, organize and manage all activities of the IT Department. He will ensure the effective, efficient and secure operation of IT assets in support of accomplishing the company’s business objectives,” said Mr. Naatz. “This change will allow me more time to focus on other areas of the business, including Business Process Improvement and the IT aspects of Positive Train Control.”
Mr. Godlewski has over 25 years of professional experience in software development and IT leadership. Most recently, he served as vice president for Assurant Employee Benefits. He has also held leadership positions with Sprint, Lucent Technologies and Eastman Kodak. He brings experience with IT governance, implementation of ITIL® best practices, legacy modernization and leadership development.
Mr. Godlewski holds bachelor of science degrees in computer science and mathematics from State University of New York College at Potsdam. He is a certified trainer in the “Crucial Conversations” methodology and has four U.S. patents for software developed at Eastman Kodak.
