The Conference Theme was: REflect. REwire. REsurge and David presented during a session entitled “Claims Management & Technology in 2020”.
David highlighted research conducted by SelectX regarding life and disability claims against the backdrop of today's technology enabled world. He covered the technology available today that insurers are using to enhance the experience their customers receive and spoke about the technology trends that are in their infancy today that could become commonplace by 2020 and their impact on processing claims.
David referenced the historical under-investment in new technology for Claims Operations which threatens to widen the ever broadening service expectation gap but also talked of how, through better use of state-of-the-art technology, we could see a Rewiring and Resurging.
David’s session was moderated by Mark Foerster, Vice President, Group Operations & Claims, Munich Reinsurance Company Canada Branch (Life) and also featured Peter Maynard, Director, SelectX Ltd.
