Aetna Releases Aetna Story 2014: Building a Healthier World

HARTFORD, Conn.--()--Consumers belong at the center of a health care system that promotes wellness, provides better care for chronic conditions and uses economic incentives to reward positive health outcomes. To showcase Aetna’s (NYSE: AET) work to build and support this new health care model, the company released “Building a Healthier World,” a digital annual report.

“Building a Healthier World” highlights Aetna’s transformative work to build a better health care system, leading to healthier communities, a healthier nation – and ultimately a healthier world. The report also demonstrates how Aetna is working to build a health care system that delivers quality care at an affordable cost.

The report is presented in an electronic format for the sixth consecutive year to better engage readers and preserve natural resources. The report features:

  • A video showcasing how Aetna’s personalized technology is transforming the consumer experience by putting powerful health care information and answers at your fingertips;
  • A video demonstrating how Aetna is collaborating with doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, labs and others to build a simpler, more integrated health care system;
  • A video showing how the company’s wellness and care management programs support personalized care so members can better manage their own unique health care issues;
  • A discussion about Aetna’s work in local communities, including more than 400,000 hours of time Aetna employees donated to the communities where they live and work; and
  • Financial highlights.
