WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Terry Chiu, CFA, CFP®, has been appointed Senior Investment Manager at Mechanics Bank, where he has worked since 1996.
Mr. Chiu previously was Senior Vice President and portfolio manager in the Wealth Management division of the bank, where he has managed investment portfolios for high net worth individuals, families, trusts and foundations. As Senior Investment Manager he will direct the portfolio management team’s research and investment selection processes.

Prior to joining Mechanics Bank, Terry held analytical, research and institutional sales positions at RCM Capital Management, Japan Capital Markets and Sanyo Securities in Hong Kong and Tokyo.
A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Mr. Chiu is a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco. He earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Economics and Statistics from The University of Hong Kong, and received his Masters of Business Administration from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
Mr. Chiu, a resident of Hercules, is a volunteer with Tax-Aid, a non-profit organization that assists low income taxpayers in preparing and filing tax returns every year. He also volunteers at animal shelters.
