Greg Esslinger brings decades of experience to industry-leading practice.

WASHINGTON, D.C.--()--Greg Esslinger, an experienced fraud and corruption consultant and former FBI Special Agent with broad international experience, has joined Control Risks to lead our combined corporate investigations and legal technologies businesses in the Americas.

Based in Washington and Atlanta, Esslinger will be responsible for directing Control Risks complex multi-jurisdictional investigations and litigation support in North and South America, where anti-corruption, regulatory risk and data protection issues have been undergoing dramatic change in recent years.

Esslinger brings decades of experience leading investigations into fraud, money laundering, sanctions violations, FCPA and other sensitive matters on every continent for the federal government and the private sector. He will be building on recent successes that contributed to Control Risks being named 2014’s top Corporate Investigations Provider by readers of the National Law Journal.*

Prior to joining Control Risks, Esslinger was a Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting where he led the group’s global anti-corruption, compliance and ethics group. Previously, Esslinger spent five years as a Special Agent with the FBI, where he conducted international terrorism and terrorist financing investigations in which he worked extensively overseas with foreign intelligence and law enforcement services. He has worked on several of the highest-profile international corruption matters and has extensive experience appearing personally on behalf of clients before the DOJ and SEC. A former practicing attorney, Esslinger holds a J.D., cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law and a B.A. with honors from the University of the South. He has served as the co-chair of the ABA FCPA National Institute and is a frequent lecturer and speaker at industry events on corruption, fraud, compliance and investigations.
