Cardinal Bank Community Fund Awards Grant to DC Spark The Wave

TYSONS CORNER, Va.--()--Cardinal Bank (NASDAQ: CFNL) announced today that the Cardinal Bank Community Fund has awarded $2,500 to Spark the Wave. Founded more than 30 years ago, the organization offers after-school and weekend seminars in effective community involvement, service learning, project planning, and diversity awareness, designed to help middle and high school students become great volunteers and community leaders.

Lang, and K Street Banking Center Manager Charlene Davis presented the check to Spark the Wave President and Founder Bill Gallagher and Director of Wave Week and Recruitment, Laura Payne; Woodrow Wilson High School Assistant Principal Gregory Bargeman; After School Program Coordinator Sheilla Hara; and Librarian Pamela Lipscomb-Gardner, with students from Woodrow Wilson High School.
