Wendy Williams to Headline the 2014 Women's Empowerment Series

INDIANAPOLIS--()--The 13th Annual Women’s Empowerment Series, a daylong celebration of entertainment and empowerment, is moving up to big league status. This year’s annual event held in Indianapolis, features more headliners, panels and talent than the last three years combined. Wendy Williams, syndicated television talk show host, headlines the “upsized,” exciting, enriching 2014 Women’s Empowerment Series event. It will take place on Saturday, April 26th and will also serve as a grand opening event of the newly renovated Indiana State Fairgrounds Coliseum and Youth Arena (which recently has undergone $63 million in improvements).

The 2014 Women's Empowerment Series on April 26th, will feature Keynote Speaker Wendy Williams, TV One’s award-winning journalist and anchor Roland Martin, plus national recording artists El DeBarge, Erica Campbell, James Fortune, Earnest Pugh, Lamar Campbell, Chrisette Michele, Chanté Moore, Leela James, Lil’ Mo, Michel’le, Claudette Ortiz, Trevor Jackson, Tiara Thomas and actors Malik Yoba and DB Woodside, and more. In addition, there will be seminars on self-help, finance, business, and education.

The 2014 Women’s Empowerment Series is an all-day event with empowerment-themed seminars, speakers, and entertainment. It was created to enrich the lives of women of color by focusing on issues that impact their daily lives such as wellness, education, career and relationships. Previous years’ events have featured Susan L. Taylor, Iyanla Vanzant, Jennifer Hudson, Robin Thicke, Eric Benet, and Kem.

The Women’s Empowerment Series is presented by the stations of Radio One/Indianapolis, 106.7 WTLC, AM1310 The Light and Hot 96.3 and McDonald's.
