DiCentral Acquires On-Demand Warehouse Management System (Formerly SmartTurn) From JDA Software

Cloud/SaaS Warehouse Management System (WMS) will enhance DiCentral’s ability to help customers gain competitive edge from its overall service strategies

HOUSTON--()--DiCentral Inc., a leading innovator in supply chain management solutions and B2B integration, and JDA® Software Group, Inc., today announced that DiCentral has purchased cloud based On-Demand WMS, one of JDA’s industry-leading Warehouse Management Systems.

“DiCentral is always seeking to improve the customer experience and return on investment. On-Demand WMS (SmartTurn) will be brought to market as a strong value-add to DiCentral’s comprehensive supply chain integration suite and it will help our customers achieve end to end supply chain visibility,” says DiCentral CEO Thuy Mai. “Our customers want scalable tools to manage their businesses. This acquisition of a cloud based WMS should make clear just how serious DiCentral is about helping our customers, regardless of size, achieve a unique and lasting supply chain advantage.”

“The On-Demand Warehouse Management System contains functionality that is redundant with JDA’s core warehouse management solution and does not fit into our go-forward product portfolio,” said Jean-Francois Gagne, chief product officer, JDA. “We are confident that active customers will continue to enjoy a safe and contiguous roadmap under DiCentral’s leadership.”

Since 2000, DiCentral has been an industry leader in supply chain integration management software and services. With over 6000 valued customers processing millions of transactions annually, DiCentral has consistently delivered quality products and services across the retail, healthcare, pharmaceutical, automotive, chemical, logistics, warehousing, food, consumer goods industries, and more. This acquisition increases DiCentral’s ability to provide the industry’s best customer service and deliver an even quicker and higher ROI for its clients.

According to Ann Grakin, CEO of ChainLink Research, “Warehouse Management continues to be a critical function in the global supply chain. Many innovations continue to be introduced to enhance operational capabilities, as well as to allow those who manage the warehouse to introduce new services to their customers and partners. The acquisition clearly dictates DiCentral’s interest in staying on top of this critical function and better enabling its customers to maintain their competitive edge.”
