Hamline Law Dean Jean Holloway Joins Dorsey as Of Counsel

MINNEAPOLIS--()--International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that Jean Holloway, Dean of the Hamline University Law School, has joined the Firm in an Of Counsel capacity. Dean Holloway was a partner in Dorsey’s Trial and Labor & Employment Groups from 1994 to 2001. She has spent her time since then in leadership roles in the medical device industry, most recently as vice president, general counsel and secretary for CR Bard, Inc., the global medical device manufacturer. Prior to that, she served as vice president and deputy general counsel for Medtronic and before that as vice president for Boston Scientific and Guidant. Dean Holloway began her full-time duties as Dean of the Hamline University Law School on January 6, 2014.

“Jean Holloway has over 30 years of experience in corporate and private legal practice and an incredible knowledge of the medical device industry,” said Dorsey & Whitney Managing Partner Ken Cutler. “She will be a terrific dean for Hamline Law, and we are delighted that she will be able to share her legal and industry insights with her friends and colleagues at Dorsey.”

“It’s more important today than ever before that those guiding America’s law schools and developing the next generation of lawyers keep closely in touch with the actual practice of law,” noted Dean Holloway. “I am looking forward to re-joining Dorsey & Whitney. It is a great firm with a strong medical device and life sciences practice that I am delighted to help grow.”
