LOVELAND, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--KeyPoint Government Solutions (KeyPoint) today announced the appointment of Eric A. Hess as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He succeeds Jeff Schlanger, who has been CEO of the Company since its formation in 2003. Mr. Schlanger recently returned to public service and will continue to serve on the company’s Board of Directors going forward.
Mr. Hess brings more than 25 years of experience leading operations, IT services, and data acquisition on a global scale, most recently serving as Chief Operations Officer of First Advantage Corporation, a provider of background screening, identity and information solutions for employers and housing. While at First Advantage, Mr. Hess delivered data assets to over 45,000 clients worldwide. Previously, Mr. Hess was Senior Vice President of Global Operations at LexisNexis Risk Solutions. Prior to LexisNexis, he held several leadership positions in the background screening and data communication industries. During his career, Mr. Hess has led the integration of numerous mergers and acquisitions creating performance-based organizations.

Mr. Hess is a respected industry expert on employment-related screening and a frequent lecturer, speaker and author on the topic. In 2001, he was appointed by the Secretary of Transportation to the Department of Transportation's Federal Advisory Committee for the Transmission and Storage of Electronic Drug Testing Information. He is currently the Chair Emeritus of the legislative and regulatory affairs committee of the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA). Mr. Hess is also a previous recipient of Entrepreneur of the Year Award by Inc. Magazine and Ernst and Young.
