Groupon Partners with DC Central Kitchen for One Groupon, One Meal Campaign

Every Food or Drink Groupon Purchased — from Your Local Italian Restaurant to Jamba Juice — Supports the Kitchen

WASHINGTON--()--Groupon (NASDAQ: GRPN) and DC Central Kitchen are partnering to present the One Groupon, One Meal campaign launching March 19 and running through April 1. DC Central Kitchen provides meals to the underserved through partnerships with 88 local nonprofit organizations. Every time a Groupon subscriber purchases a deal from the food and drink offerings in DC, Groupon will donate one meal to DC Central Kitchen (up to $10,000 over the two-week campaign).

“We make every dollar count by using leftover food, donated kitchen equipment and volunteer power to prepare healthy meals,” said Alexander Moore, Director of Development at DC Central Kitchen. “Groupon's support will allow us to store our meals in temperature-controlled containers, fuel our delivery trucks and pay living wages to the formerly jobless, at-risk women and men we train and employ in our kitchen.”

To participate, Groupon subscribers can visit groupon.com/onemeal, choose from any of the DC food and drink offerings listed — from neighborhood favorites to popular juice and smoothie destination Jamba Juice — and purchase a deal. Groupon will then donate the cost of a meal to the DC Central Kitchen. Subscribers may additionally give directly to DC Central Kitchen through their campaign running in conjunction with One Groupon, One Meal by visiting http://www.groupon.com/deals/dc-central-kitchen-1.
