MURRIETA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--California Veterinary Specialists Angel Care Center (CVS Angel Care) was named March Business of the Month by Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez for the Center’s canine cancer clinical trials using Voyager, a new and revolutionary non-invasive anti-cancer medical device.
“We are overjoyed to receive this award from Assemblywoman Melendez for our work to eliminate cancer in pets,” said Dr. Greg Ogilvie, founder of CVS Angel Care. “Voyager has the potential to save hundreds of thousands of lives and has given families of pets hope by helping to reduce or eliminate their pet’s cancer.”
The Voyager technology is a mobile device positioned on the skin over the tumor location and uses specific low-level radio frequency energy to kill malignant cancer cells. The new technology is being evaluated with the hope and belief the therapy will be confirmed a safe and powerful new tool for the treatment of a wide variety of cancers in dogs.
Early results of the trials by CVS Angel Care have been promising. Over 250 canine cancer patients received Voyager already in this ongoing clinical trial at the three Southern California CVS centers in Carlsbad, Murrieta and Ontario. Enrollment for the Voyager canine clinical trial is provided at no cost.
The Business of the Month award given by Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez recognizes a business in the 67th Assembly District that significantly impacts the lives of others. Dr. Ogilvie has spent his life developing, discovering and searching for innovative, safe and effective cancer treatments for companion animals and their families.
