Axalta’s Brilliant Flames to Brighten Bristol

Axalta Racing Heads to Thunder Valley

GLEN MILLS, Pa.--()--Axalta Coating Systems will race the Brilliant Flames paint scheme this weekend for the 2014 NASCAR® short-track season opener at Bristol Motor Speedway during the Food City 500 on March 16, 2014.

In recent years, the Bristol spring races haven’t been too kind to driver Jeff Gordon. However, Gordon has five wins in Thunder Valley and this will be his first time racing the Axalta No. 24 Chevrolet SS Brilliant Flames paint scheme on this track, so expect the unexpected.

“This race is always exciting and is one of our most popular events for customers,” says Wade Robinson, Axalta Strategic Marketing and Racing Director. “We’ll need a Faster, Tougher, Brighter car for this race. And in the end, we think Brilliant Flames will be leading the pack.”

Axalta Coating Systems provides “The Official Finish” of Hendrick Motorsports.
