Online gambling in New Jersey helps drive revenue growth from January to February

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.--()--Tropicana Atlantic City Casino & Resort today announced a 60 percent revenue increase for its online gaming operation, Tropicana Atlantic City Online from January to February 2014. After New Jersey sanctioned online gambling last year, the company has seen online revenues grow from approximately $841,000 in January to $1.35 million in February 2014 from its online casino at TropicanaCasino.com.

Tropicana Atlantic City Online is proud to be among the first online casinos to launch in New Jersey, that have already helped drive $1.4 million in tax revenue in January. The future of online gambling looks strong in New Jersey as the economic impact is starting to take effect in the first quarter of 2014.

“Tropicana Atlantic City Online is an exciting endeavor for Tropicana Atlantic City and has helped us reach a new audience throughout New Jersey,” said Tony Rodio, President and CEO of Tropicana Entertainment Inc. “We are very pleased with our revenue growth thus far and plan to continue growing as leaders in the online gambling industry.”
