ANAHEIM, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Citing an expansion and rebranding exercise, Clear Catheter Systems, Inc. announced today it has changed its company name to ClearFlow, Inc. The new name reflects a renewed focus on helping clinicians eliminate acute, sub-acute and chronic postoperative complications of current high failure-rate wound drainage tubes.
ClearFlow, Inc. is recognized for its patented PleuraFlow® Active Clearance Technology™ which reliably maintains chest tube patency in the critical post-operative period. The technology was developed by heart surgeons and decreases the potential for Retained Blood Complications, creating significant cost savings to hospitals, and most importantly saving lives.
A new logo has been created and the company has relocated from Oregon to Southern California, a world-renowned medical device hub with a strong community and a large pool of experienced talent to join their team.
“Our mission is to develop highly effective devices and new best practices to proactively drain blood and fluids after surgery,” said Paul Molloy, ClearFlow, Inc. President and CEO. “We believe that avoiding the complications that accrue due to retained blood and fluids leads to reduced morbidity and mortality, less pain and discomfort for the patient, and lower total cost of care in a cost-conscious healthcare environment.”
“We are excited about our new name and the future direction of the company,” Molloy added.
