LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SGN (www.sgn.com), the premier cross-platform game developer, today launched its newest fast-action puzzle game Cookie Jam for iOS. Cookie Jam transforms a well-known puzzle game mechanic into a full-flavored experience with developed characters, detailed graphics, and a full storyline that takes place in a French bakery. The gameplay made popular by titles like Bejeweled and Candy Crush rises to a new level in the latest addition to SGN’s catalogue of titles.
SGN’s newest title was built on SGN’s proprietary cross-platform technology, which significantly compresses the development cycle, adds to the quality of the game, and creates reusable technology for the development of future games. Initially launched on iOS, Cookie Jam will be released on Google Play and Facebook later this month.
The game follows the adventures of Chef Panda to match pieces and remove obstacles in a magical confectionary world. Players match ingredients for the recipe needed to complete each level, while changing settings offer different challenges. Unique gameplay features for Cookie Jam include combination moves, richly detailed level maps, intricate artwork and design, and evolving level objectives for a dynamic, addictively challenging experience.
“This is a game that really shows the power of combining a compelling narrative and beautiful animations with expert engineering and a scientific approach to game development,” said Chris DeWolfe, CEO of SGN.
The game’s characters, storyline and theme are consistent through even the smallest details – macaroons and desserts make up puzzle pieces. French-themed designs and language give a culinary flavor to all its elements, and original music completes a fully immersive puzzle action experience.
