BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Amras Cruises (www.amrascruises.com) today introduced their full complement of European river cruises designed exclusively for North American travelers offered on the award-winning Amadeus fleet of vessels.
The “2014 Christmas Markets on the Rhine” and “2014 Christmas Markets on the Danube” will be the first two offerings. The company expands the collection in 2015 with 16 customizable itineraries on the major waterways of Europe.
Designed with an eye for spacious comfort and ease, and manned with a staff and crew trained to the highest levels of traditional Austrian hospitality (Gemütlichkeit), the Amadeus fleet is ideal for travelers seeking an authentic European experience. Operating on the most beautiful European waterways, the Amadeus river vessels have set the standard for excellence, delivering an award-winning mix of good living and grand sightseeing that Europeans have been enjoying for generations.
“Recognizing that not all travelers are the same, our mission is to provide ease, flexibility and choice to our guests,” says President and Managing Director, Rudi M. Joham. “With decades of experience cruising to Europe’s most popular destinations, we are proud to offer a cruising experience like no other, created to enrich, inspire, and renew.”
Combining the Amadeus ships with immersive, culturally-oriented cruise and land products will provide North American travelers with the best of European river cruising, a truly unique experience.
“We recognize that the river cruise industry has become very cookie cutter and that there is definitely demand for a more customizable travel experience,” says Joham. “When traveling with us, our guests will have more opportunities to explore, either independently or part of an escorted group, or to combine multiple itineraries.”
The 2015 Amras river cruise collection will include cruises on many of Europe’s most famous waterways, including the Seine, Saone, Rhone, Moselle, Rhine, Main, and Danube Rivers. Many of the sailings will be on the award-winning MS Amadeus Silver, recently named the “2013 River Ship of the Year” by Germany’s prestigious Kreuzfahrtguide. Debuting in the spring of 2015, the sophisticated MS Amadeus Silver II, a sister ship to the Amadeus Silver, will travel through Holland and Belgium and down the Rhine, Main, and Danube rivers.
