A singing uterus explains perimenopause and menopause

CORONADO, Calif.--()--Ellen Dolgen, the outspoken women’s menopause health and wellness awareness advocate, author and speaker joined forces with comedic writer and talent, Rachel Bloom and songwriter and producer, Jack Dolgen to produce You and Your Body – A Singing Uterus Explains Perimenopause and Menopause. The video brings a twist of humor, education, and support to the 37.5 million women reaching or currently at menopause (ages 40 to 59) and was produced to educate the sisterhood about perimenopause and the effects of perimenopause on fertility and the biological clock.

“The subject of menopause was once considered a taboo topic and now finally the discussion is at the forefront,” says Dolgen. “Every woman will encounter symptoms of menopause in one way or another, whether they suffer with hot flashes, mood swings, feminine dryness, sleeplessness, incontinence or any number of other issues brought on by decreased estrogen levels, or following surgery, hysterectomy, or cancer treatment. The symptoms can be overwhelming at times, but if women are educated and prepared they can get the support they need and find solutions that are right for them.”

Ellen Dolgen is founder and president of Menopause Mondays, author of Shmirshky: the pursuit of hormone happiness and principal of Dolgen Ventures. Her weekly blog, Menopause Mondays, provides varied and substantive discussions of current news and research for women’s health and the modern menopausal woman today. Her updates help women gain access and knowledge so they are empowered to be their own health advocates. Her motto is: Suffering in silence is OUT! Reaching out is IN!
