AUCKLAND, New Zealand--(BUSINESS WIRE)--LiveOps Inc., the global leader in cloud contact centre and customer service solutions, today opened a new global development hub to help drive corporate product development and to better serve its rapidly growing regional customer base.
The new development facility is based in the iconic Chorus building in Auckland’s central business district.
LiveOps first entered the New Zealand market in 2011 with the acquisition of publicly listed New Zealand company, Datasquirt. LiveOps retained all of Datasquirt’s staff as part of the acquisition and today employs 21 highly skilled software engineers as a core component of the LiveOps global development team.
Marty Beard, chairman and CEO of LiveOps said, “New Zealand is central to the LiveOps cloud application development program, and we are delighted to open this global development hub. This new facility will support our highly skilled team of local engineers and developers as they continue to do such great work in creating innovative new products.
“LiveOps is at the cutting-edge of contact centre technology, helping more than 300 companies around the globe transform their customer relationships by enabling multichannel, social and mobile interactions with their customers,” said Beard. “This facility will be a thriving technology hub not only for our existing development team, but also for fresh graduates seeking to become a part of a fast-growing, global cloud software company.”
Beard said that since LiveOps’ entry into the New Zealand market, the company had more than doubled its customer and partner base and would continue to ramp up for significant growth over the next several years.
Kieron Lawson, Chief Technology Officer, Cloud Applications, LiveOps, is responsible for leading the global Cloud Applications development team from New Zealand. “Our team plays an integral role in the development of LiveOps’ products, and the technology we are developing is transforming our customers’ businesses all over the world. It’s great to lead a team of smart and talented Kiwi developers of this calibre.”
The launch of an Auckland development hub coincides with the opening of a new data centre in Sydney, Australia to further support LiveOps’ rapid growth plans in the region, as well as ensure customers with high-speed access to the cloud-based network.
It also follows the recent announcement that LiveOps has raised USD$30 million specifically to accelerate global expansion. The funding was secured from Comerica Bank and represents the single largest round of funding in the company’s history.
