ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Securian Trust Company, N.A. filled two key positions.
Tamra Davis Cownie, JD, MACL, joined Securian Trust as vice president and trust officer. In this role Cownie works with clients and their financial advisors as well as local attorneys and accountants to manage the complexities of wealth acquisition, preservation and distribution.
Most recently, Cownie was with the Private Client Reserve of US Bank in St. Paul, MN. She also has been an estate tax attorney for the IRS. Cownie received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, her law degree from Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI, and a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Argosy University. She is chairperson of the board of Merrick Community Services, a nonprofit in St. Paul, MN.
John Rothchild, JD, was appointed vice president and wealth management counsel, supporting financial advisors with advanced financial planning and trust services that meet specific client needs. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, ND, and his law degree from the University of St. Thomas School of Law, St. Paul, MN. He joined Securian in 2008 working for the trust company and the financial planning area of Securian Financial Services.
