Tucker Blair Launches Its New Brand Initiative Taking On Boring Belts With Colorful Alternatives; E-Commerce Company Hosts Party to Unveil Its New Beacon Hill Showroom, Headquarters and Website, February 27

Preppies Rejoice: Online Provider of Colorful Belts and Accessories is Ready to Help You Move Past Brown and Black

BOSTON--()--On a crusade to bring some color into its customers’ lives—and more specifically, their belts and accessories—e-commerce company Tucker Blair will officially launch its new website and showroom with an opening party event on February 27 at its Beacon Hill Headquarters, 66 Beacon Street, Boston. The event will feature more than 150 style influencers, media, bloggers and brand ambassadors who are expected to attend.

Tucker Blair’s new showroom, which overlooks Boston Common, will be a regular site for company and fashion events. It features products that traditionally come in brown or black, and it replaces them with bright, preppy needlepointing. Highlights include Tucker Blair’s signature brightly-colored belts, wallets, key fobs, coasters, flasks and more.

Originally founded in 2008, Tucker Blair is re-launching with a new team, a host of new products, and a vision to enhance its brand—primarily on the Internet—beginning with this opening party at its showroom.

The company’s Owner and CEO, Matthew Tara, has left the venture capital firm, General Catalyst, to explore a new venture in men’s fashion. With the global e-commerce market for men’s fashion goods representing a fast-growing opportunity, Tara brings his broad experience working with the VC firm’s vast portfolio of e-commerce companies to Tucker Blair.

“There’s no doubt that while we sell some of the most colorful, beautiful belts and accessories, we are at heart a company at the intersection of fashion and technology,” says Tara. “As a preppy fashion-based e-commerce company, we have also built our headquarters in the heart of Boston’s iconic Beacon Hill. Last year for example, we became one of the first companies to partner with Uber to offer same-day delivery.” Tara continues, “This company expresses who I am as a person—someone who loves clothing that replaces traditional drab accessories with color, but also someone who loves technology. I learned from the great entrepreneurs with whom I worked at GC; and now I’m proud to be one myself, and we are going to do some amazing things at Tucker Blair, this kickoff party being among the first.”
