LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Olin Brass continues to be committed to provide its customers with exceptional product quality, service, technical support and overall value. As a newly created public company built on over 90-years of industry-leading experience, we have created a solid foundation to support further investments in our people, equipment capabilities, process reliability and new product development. These investments will allow us to strengthen our ability to service the needs of our customers well into the future.
In 2013, we released the conclusions of an extensive analysis that highlighted the fact that current market pricing relative to light gauge, narrow width and specialty finish products was not effective in offsetting the added manufacturing costs to produce these products. Accordingly, we communicated a new published price schedule, during 2013, to more closely align the prices charged for these products with the actual costs to produce and service.
Therefore, effective with new orders placed March 1, 2014, we will complete the full implementation of the previously announced price schedules for these light gauge, narrow width and specialty finish products. In addition, we will implement new price schedules for all plated and traverse wound products. This announcement impacts all OEM commercial customers and all supply chain partners, including A.J. Oster and Olin Brass Specialty Products businesses. All existing contracts, including three-party supply chain contracts, will be honored until termination.
As always we want to thank you for your business and consideration regarding this matter.
Please contact your Olin Brass representative should you have any questions or feel free to contact Jeff Byrd at 502-873-3010.
