HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Concurrently with the completion of a healthy and thriving 2013 for the Houston real estate market, Houston-based homebuilder, Grand View Builders, shattered previous years’ sales numbers and sustained rapid growth in 2013. Throughout the past year, the family-owned and operated business also earned recognition from Houston’s real estate industry, supported philanthropic efforts and anticipates a prosperous and record-setting 2014. Grand View Builders, though Houston-based, also serves the San Antonio, Austin, Dallas and Fort Worth markets and is the parent company of GVB Custom Homes, SWMJ Construction and new sub-company, Outdoor Oasis, led by president and CEO, Marc Jungers.
In 2013, the Grand View Builders sales team sold 198 properties, far exceeding the previous records of 161 properties sold in 2012 and 125 properties in 2011, and ranked in the top 35 of Houston area homebuilders based on closings. Accounting for Houston’s expected population growth and increased demand for housing, management at Grand View Builders projects sales of 250 homes by the end of 2014 and expects a revenue increase of 37.5 percent from $32 million in 2013 to $44 million in 2014. In Q1 of 2013, Grand View Builders opened their Foster Glen community in Porter and expanded their Lakes of Bella Terra and Stewarts Forest communities in Richmond and Conroe, respectively. A new community is expected to open in 2014 in League City, offering homes in colonial style.
Grand View Builders welcomed Tim Mayo as vice president of operations for Grand View Builders, tapping the 28-year veteran of the real estate and homebuilding industry to lead the sales team, expand new community offerings and lead product development. While serving as an officer of the company, Mayo will also guide the future success and growth of the company as a whole. In 2013, Grand View Builders and companies also welcomed six new members to their teams.
One of the new sales consultants, Jan Hoffman, was honored by the Greater Houston Builders Association and received the “Rookie Onsite Sales Professional of the Year” award at the organization’s prestigious PRISM Awards, which were held in October 2013.
Jungers and his company’s portfolio span the needs of every homeowner and property owner through their flagship, Grand View Builders, and through GVB Custom Homes and SWMJ Construction. After customers’ inquiries and realizing an opportunity for landscaping and outdoor pools, Jungers started Outdoor Oasis. Outdoor Oasis is a custom pool company that allows homeowners to create their dream backyard oasis by adding or refreshing their swimming pool and was launched in June 2013 as subsidiary company to the Grand View Builders service offering. Outdoor Oasis provides the design and construction service to Grand View Builders and GVB Custom Homes homeowners, as well as non-homeowners.
Back in 2012, Grand View Builders implemented a 12-month “Realtor of the Month” campaign in an effort to form stronger relationships with real estate agents working with the Grand View Builders sales team. The campaign highlighted an exceptional real estate agent each month through February 2013. In March of 2013, the public voted for their favorite “Realtor of the Month” through the Grand View Builders Facebook page and crowned an agent from Keller Williams as “Realtor of the Year.” In addition to the title of “Realtor of the Year,” Grand View Builders also awarded the agent with three months of a billboard in her sales area.
After conclusion of the Facebook “Realtor of the Year” promotion, Grand View Builders kicked-off their highly successful “You Share, We Give” campaign for our armed forces and donated a total of $3,250 to five different military-focused non-profit organizations in Texas. The campaign lasted until December 2013 and Grand View Builders encouraged their Facebook fans to support the different organizations by “sharing” images. In 2014, the company will continue their tradition of supporting local organizations by donating $10.00 per home sold throughout the year to HomeAid Houston.
Since 2009, Grand View Builders executives and sales team have closed almost 700 houses for over $100 million dollars. Jungers attributes the company’s success to exceptional staffing and Houston’s booming economy and said: “Even in Houston’s profitable economy, our success would not be possible without the dedication and commitment we see from our sales team and staff every day.” He added, “Grand View Builders is looking forward to building on our sales and business momentum in 2014 by continuing to further develop our business and adding dedicated members to our team.”
