Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union Chooses FICS’ Xcluso® to Enhance Loan Origination Capabilities

DALLAS--()--Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union has expanded its relationship with residential mortgage loan origination software provider, Financial Industry Computer Systems, Inc. (FICS®), to manage its loan origination department with the addition of Xcluso®. An advanced web-based portal designed exclusively for loan originators, Xcluso provides the ability to easily track and manage prospects not only via laptop, but through iPad® and Android-based tablets as well.

In an ongoing effort to increase originator productivity by simplifying the loan application process, particularly at their branch offices and other remote locations, Tennessee Valley was in need of a user-friendly system that saved time, eliminated manual processes, and required minimal implementation. “Having worked with FICS for more than 13 years now, I knew that they would be capable of providing a tool that was straightforward, accurate, and offered superior customer service,” said Gloria Morris, mortgage operations specialist at Tennessee Valley. “Implementing Xcluso has supplied the origination tools we needed to simplify the loan application process, which enabled our loan originators to build even stronger relationships with our members.”

Xcluso provides Tennessee Valley with an online portal, in which loan originators can easily manage pipelines, run preliminary credit reports, prequalify borrowers, and export application information directly into FICS’ residential loan origination software (LOS), Loan Producer®. The enhanced user-interface provides the credit union with an organized and intuitive workflow that supports credit checks and allows input of application data to more efficiently manage pipelines and prospects. Tennessee Valley executives also acknowledge that Xcluso allows greater access to information, enabling a more seamless communication among loan processing staff, the originator, and the borrower.

As an alternative to having loan officers in each of the 14 branches submit physical loan documents to the main branch, Tennessee Valley has leveraged Xcluso’s secure method of linking and electronically storing supporting documentation, such as paystubs and statements, for quick and easy access between branches. Use of a tablet with a camera also provides the added benefit of being able to take a picture of the supporting documentation and easily attach these items to the loan application. Having up-to-date customer information accessible to all of the credit union’s branches and loan officers has significantly decreased the number of calls that Tennessee Valley receives regarding loan application status. In addition, the credit union has eliminated the need to manually export or re-enter loan application data, resulting in a more efficient and accurate application process.
