VantageScore Solutions Announces Adoption of VantageScore 3.0 by Quizzle.com

Leading Online Provider of Consumer Credit Information to Also Offer Information Powered by VantageScore Solutions’ ReasonCode.org

STAMFORD, Conn.--()--VantageScore Solutions, the company behind the VantageScore® credit scoring model, announced today that Detroit-based Quizzle.com, the free credit report and credit education site, has adopted the VantageScore 3.0 model and will provide free credit scores to its users.

Introduced in March of 2013, VantageScore 3.0 is the first credit score model to be built on post-recessionary data, and it has the ability to generate a credit score for 30-35 million more consumers than traditional credit scoring methodologies. The VantageScore model is a tri-bureau credit scoring model that is uniquely able to be deployed at all three national credit reporting companies (CRCs), Equifax, Experian and TransUnion, resulting in more consistent credit scores and less confusion among consumers.

Quizzle.com also integrates information powered by VantageScore Solutions through ReasonCode.org, which allows consumers to search specific reason codes to receive deeper explanations and tips for addressing credit behaviors that negatively impact their credit score.

The value-added information powered by ReasonCode.org is offered to Quizzle.com users directly through their accounts, giving them each a customized roadmap for how they can improve their credit score.

“Many folks don’t realize how important their credit health is until they try and buy a home, finance the purchase of an automobile or simply apply for their first credit card,” said Todd Albery, chief executive officer of Quizzle.com. “Quizzle’s offering of the VantageScore model will give people a simple and accurate tool to check their credit score before jumping into a large purchase.”

“Studies have shown that consumers who have had recent access to their credit score know more about the ins-and-outs of credit scoring, and thus they can become better managers of their credit profiles,” said Barrett Burns, president and CEO of VantageScore Solutions. “By providing more than 1 million users with access to their VantageScore 3.0 credit score and the deep explanations and tips around reason codes, Quizzle.com is tackling the critical issues facing consumers who want to take charge of their financial futures.”

Quizzle.com is the first of its kind to offer reason codes and the ReasonCode.org information. It joins a number of other leading credit and personal finance-focused resources where consumers can receive free VantageScore credit scores. Other resources and websites include Credit.com, CreditKarma.com, and ReadyforZero.com.
