AUSTIN, Texas--()--Gravitant®, the leading software company in the enterprise cloud services brokerage and management market, today announced that Brad Anderson has been named President and Chief Operating Officer. Brad will also serve on Gravitant’s board of directors.

Gartner Group analysts predict: “By 2015, at least 20 percent of all cloud services will be consumed via internal or external cloud service brokerages, rather than directly, up from less than 5 percent (in 2013).”

“Enterprise IT has come to the realization that Cloud will disrupt their current governance, operations, service delivery and technology architectures and that they will need to use or become cloud service brokers to address this disruption,” said Mohammed Farooq, Chairman and CEO of Gravitant. “Brad is a widely respected senior business executive who brings a deep knowledge of enterprise requirements combined with an incredible track record of achieving business objectives. He’s exactly the kind of talent we need at Gravitant as we take this company to the next level.”

A recent Neovise customer survey showed that 71 percent of organizations using public or private infrastructure-as-a-service offerings were doing so with a hybrid cloud implementation. To support these companies using multi-cloud computing, Gravitant offers a platform that supports both cloud management and cloud brokerage, including cloud solution aggregation, consumption management, business support systems, governance and control.

Prior to joining Gravitant, Anderson served for seven years as President of Dell’s Enterprise Solutions Group, which he transformed from a hardware supplier to a provider of complete enterprise solutions. Under his leadership, revenues grew significantly faster than the industry to $12 billion across enterprise and cloud infrastructure solutions. Prior to Dell, Anderson was HP’s Senior Vice President and General Manager of Industry Standard Servers.

“Gravitant impressed me with its unique ability to help enterprises manage and optimize myriad cloud environments with respect to cost, speed and control,” Anderson said. “This holistic approach goes beyond point solutions and provides an integrated platform that enables Enterprises to realize their vision of IT-as-a-Service.”

Said Anderson, “Great companies are built at the intersection of big markets, superb teams and compelling products. Gravitant has all three, and I am privileged to be part of this well-positioned company.”
