BOULDER, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Gorilla Logic, creators of the MonkeyTalk open source mobile app testing tool, and the CloudMonkey Appliance, a "mobile device lab in a box", announced today the creation of CloudMonkey Mobile, a new company focused exclusively on creating test automation tools and platforms for mobile application testing, including the ongoing management of the MonkeyTalk open source project.
The new company has launched www.cloudmonkeymobile.com as its corporate website as well as the new home for the MonkeyTalk open source initiative.
CloudMonkey Mobile will be based in Boulder and operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Gorilla Logic, Inc. The parent company will continue offering world-class IT project outsourcing and staffing services.
"Establishing a separate company that is fully committed to mobile app testing technology will allow us to better execute what have become two distinct core missions for Gorilla Logic over the last few years, and will result in even better products and services for the MonkeyTalk community as well as our enterprise IT consulting clients," said Gorilla Logic CEO, Stu Stern.
Complementing its core enterprise IT consulting business, Gorilla Logic has been developing open source testing tools since 2009. MonkeyTalk was first released by Gorilla Logic in 2012 and has since been downloaded some 70,000 times. Quality professionals in large and small companies around the world rely on MonkeyTalk for automating functional testing of mobile apps.
