XAP Corporation Closes the 2013 Fall Application Season with 100% System Availability and Nearly 3.5 Million Applications Processed for the Year

CULVER CITY, Calif.--()--Educational technology leader XAP Corporation announced today that by November 30, 2013, the close of the Fall Application Season, over 3.3 million college and ancillary applications had been processed. The Fall Application Season generally covers the period of time between October 1 and November 30, which represents the heaviest usage of XAP’s application tools. System traffic was strong with 88,160 applications processed on November 30 alone. XAP’s Tech Support team handled 23,260 phone calls, 6,760 e-mails, 506 voice-mails, and several hundred online chat sessions during this period. The 12-month total for all applications processed in 2013 was 3,483,503 million.

XAP’s application systems were stable and secure during this heavy usage period finishing with 100% uptime. XAP credits its success to several factors. “The sheer volume of our application processing requires robust information technology and experienced staff dedicated to staying attuned to application activity. Second, our live, bi-lingual support teams were able to handle incoming calls leaving no backlog of unanswered calls or e-mails at the end of November,” said Peter Knepper, XAP’s Chief Executive Officer. “Our team’s focus on enhanced application tools for multiple applications within our systems, has led to shorter application preparation times for students and a better overall end-user experience,” he added.
