EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A glittering gaggle of A-list celebrities, models and star athletes will gather in the city that never sleeps to show fans their grit on the gridiron for the Eighth Annual DIRECTV Celebrity Beach Bowl on Saturday, Feb. 1.
The star-studded flag football game goes live at DTV SuperFan Stadium (Hudson River Park Pier 40) on the world’s largest indoor beach, packed with more than a million pounds of freshly poured sand. Those watching at home can catch the game on DIRECTV’s Audience Network, NBC Sports Network, Root Sports Networks (Northwest, Rocky Mountain and Pittsburgh) as well as internationally on DIRECTV’s Pan Americana and Puerto Rican outlets.
Free and open to the public on a first-come basis, the DIRECTV Celebrity Beach Bowl has become one of the must-attend events of Super Bowl weekend, attracting thousands of spectators who flock to witness Hollywood’s biggest stars compete against former NFL greats in a wild flag football game where anything can happen.
