Neebo® Saves College Students Nearly $14 Million Through Textbook Rental and Best Price Promise Programs

National retailer continues to offer rental, Best Price Promise, and sweepstakes programs for spring 2014 semester

LINCOLN, Neb.--()--Neebo, the online retailer and nationwide network of college stores, saved students $13.7 million through its college textbook rental program during the fall 2013 semester, up from $12.6 million saved through Neebo’s rental program during the spring 2013 semester. Neebo’s Rent Every Textbook & Save™ program+, which it will continue offering during the spring 2014 semester, helps students save money on their textbooks by allowing them to rent new or used textbooks and return them at end of term vs. buying them for a higher upfront price.

Neebo also offers additional savings programs for students. For those who find a more affordable price on their textbook rental or purchase through a different company, Neebo will honor its Best Price Promise™, an offer to beat any advertised competitor’s price by 10 percent.++

“Making college even better for students is why we’re here, so we’re continuing to offer our rental and savings programs for spring 2014,” said Steve Clemente, President and Chief Executive Officer of Neebo. “Renting textbooks instead of buying them can often save students as much as 50 percent, and renting our textbooks and taking advantage of our Best Price Promise are simply the best ways for students to get the best pricing on their textbooks.”

With its Best Price Promise, Neebo saved students more than $230,000 on their textbook rentals and purchases during the fall 2013 term.

For the spring 2014 term, Neebo will also continue its back-to-school textbook rental campaign that it launched for the fall 2013 term. The campaign features actor and celebrity spokesman, Adam West, and offers students the chance to save even more on their textbooks by giving away thousands of prizes worth a total of more than $60,000. The grand prize includes free textbook rentals for the remainder of the grand prize winner’s undergraduate college career. Full details of the program are available at http://www.neebo.com/free.
