CULVER CITY, Calif. & NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fullscreen, Inc., a next-generation media company for the new class of online content creators, today announced that popular millennial tastemaker Anthony Quintal, best known by his online persona “Lohanthony,” will co-host MTV’s new Teen Wolf After, After Show with Morgan Evans. The interactive talk show will appear on MTV.com and its affiliate sites to recap each episode of the second half of season three of Teen Wolf airing on MTV beginning Monday, January 6th. Lohanthony’s reactions and point-of view will be featured along with interviews from members of the cast and crew, other celebrity fans and surprise guests. In addition to appearing regularly on the Teen Wolf After, After Show, Lohanthony will create his own companion videos exclusively for MTV in the irreverent “Fan Girl” style he’s know for to accompany each linear TV episode and recap show after they air.
With more than 800K subscribers to his YouTube channel, nearly 1.2 million followers on Twitter and more than 1.1 million fans following him on Instagram at age 14, Lohanthony has been described as one of the most prolific teens to make his name on the Internet today. His new stint with the Teen Wolf After, After Show as co-host and MTV.com contributor comes on the heels of being asked to join MTV’s “Instaratti” for the 2013 Video Music Awards and most recently being invited on the Teen Wolf set to go behind-the-scenes for the gripping season finale.
“We wanted to bring Lohanthony’s enthusiasm and energy into the new Teen Wolf After, After Show. He is our target demographic, but more importantly, we appreciated that as a fan himself, he speaks as the voice of community and connects with others around the show,” said Matt McDonough, Senior Manager, Social Marketing at MTV. “We find ourselves shifting toward working with Fullscreen’s new class of talented online creators because they reflect our target demographic while authentically bridging our content with their entertainment experience.”
“We believe in the creative power of online tastemakers like Lohanthony, especially as the lines between traditional media continue to blur. 2014 will be the year of breakthroughs by rising talent and Lohanthony being tapped for the Teen Wolf After, After Show is another exciting example of this trend,” said Larry Shapiro, Head of Talent at Fullscreen. “Though this achievement is truly a victory for Lohanthony, it’s also a win for our clients and online creators everywhere as more creators migrate from YouTube on to other platforms.”
Season three returns to television on Mondays at 10 p.m. ET. Fans of both Lohanthony and Teen Wolf can tune in each week to MTV.com and by visiting: www.teenwolf.com to watch both the Teen Wolf After, After Show and Lohanthony’s reaction videos beginning on January 6th at 11 p.m. ET. Fans can also engage and participate in the discussion via social channels.
