BELGRADE, Mont.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bacterin International Holdings, Inc. (NYSE MKT: BONE) is pleased to announce Kevin Noyes as its 2014 Donate Life Rose Parade Float® Living Donor Honoree. Kevin will be one of twelve, inaugural living-donor walkers who will be escorting the “Light up the World” themed float during the 5-mile parade route. The theme of this years Donate Life Rose Parade Float is designed to remember and honor deceased and living donors, as well as organ, eye, and tissue recipients. Bacterin is sharing this honor with American Donor Services.
Kevin has built a career focused on the gift of donation as an employee of American Donor Services. In June of 2012, he was able to extend his commitment even further by electing to be a living donor, and donating a kidney to a close friend’s father.
“We are delighted to honor Kevin Noyes and the selfless decision he made to save a life by becoming a Living Donor,” said Dan Goldberger, Bacterin’s President and CEO. “We have been able to see how the gift of donation can save and improve the lives of others, and we couldn’t be more grateful to be able to acknowledge Kevin and his family for their generous gift of life.”
2014 marks the first year that the Donate Life Rose Parade Float will honor Living Donors as walkers, in addition to the floragraphs that adorn the float remembering deceased donors, and the numerous float riders who are recipients of life saving organs, eyes, and tissues. Bacterin also sponsors messages of love and hope from donor families that adorn numerous flowers featured in the rose garden. To read some of these messages of remembrance, please visit Bacterin’s website.
