INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Stoneware, the leader in Unified Cloud computing, announced the immediate availability of its latest webRDP HTML5 Gateway, version 1.1. webRDP allows IT organizations to provide end users access to Windows from any device using just a web browser.
The latest version of webRDP supports an updated user interface with features such as updated color themes and branding, accordion style menus and a collapsible utility menu. Additional features of the product include:
- Running webRDP HTML5 Gateway on Linux
- Enabling IT to generate custom connection URLs for single click logins for distribution via email, the web or to be saved for later
- Copy and paste across an RDP connection
- Custom logout URLs to redirect users to a custom page upon logging out
- Enhanced virtual keyboard to provide a better mobile experience as well as access function keys
“This release of webRDP is all about increasing the feature set of an already great product,” said Rick German, CEO of Stoneware, Inc. “Our customers running Linux now have the ability to deliver access to Windows applications through an HTML5 Gateway, providing necessary access to legacy applications. The new UI is much cleaner, allowing for a better experience, and the webRDP clipboard makes RDP sessions much more functional for end users.”
The webRDP gateway installs in minutes, supports Proxy and SOCKS and encrypts all passwords. A trial version is available at www.webrdp.com.
webRDP costs $1,495 per server and includes 3 support calls and one year of product updates. If you purchased webRDP less than one year ago, you are eligible to upgrade to version 1.1 for free. You can download the latest version from the customer portal, where you can find the required new license.
An OEM version of webRDP that can be customized, branded and embedded in a custom remote access solution is available.
