Nation’s Largest Barbecue Franchise Opens New Washington Location

TACOMA, Wash.--()--Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Tacoma will be open for business Thursday, December 19 at 11:00 a.m. and the first 50 dine-in customers will receive a gift card for up to $50. The grand opening celebration continues for three days.

“Opening my second location is exciting for my family! I’m thrilled to bring authentic slow-smoked Texas barbecue to the Tacoma community,” said multi-unit franchise owner Gary Depping. “We know people will enjoy the great food and family friendly atmosphere.”

Friday, customers will enjoy a day of merchandise giveaways including t-shirts, koozies and sunglasses. Saturday, the day kicks-off with radio station 94.1 FM from noon to 2:00 p.m. and this location will be serving $2 Pulled Pork Barbecue sandwiches. In addition, three lucky winners will win FREE barbecue for a year.

Depping spent the majority of his career working for Burger King. He opened his first Dickey’s Barbecue location in Auburn in 2012 and plans to open a third location in 2014.
